Cuckoo Clay Bird
Simple Cuckoo ? No way ! (K5.6 files, open wavs)
- 24 bit / 44,1 kHz - 103 MB (cca 100 single wav files) - 54 nki files (12 multi, 12 regular raw, 10 SFX, 20 wet patches) - tuned, looped wavs - nice, flute/ocarina like sounds - an experimental approach to this birdie - great organ sounds (almost shocked me !) - delay, 3 band EQ, attack/release and expanded reverb, flanger GUI controls - Kontakt 5.6 and above full version required
A long long time ago, when I was a kid, this little birdie was initially bought to me by my father during our visit of Romania sometimes in 1980s. Since those times this cuckoo sits here and there, moving with me from a flat to a flat, from my childhood to present days. I bet it has never dreamed about being finally sampled :-).
But it happened and did a nice job, singing those two tones patiently for me (it has a hole in the front that can be covered by a finger to produce lower tone). What zou have here is a nice little instrument with great experimental possibilities. You can come up with kind of jungle scenery with various exotic birds tweeting, get to the sci-fi territory with weird pads and effests, or to get to the rock pub with overdriven (cuckoo) rock organ... KONTAKT 5.6 full version required. (in KONTAKT PLAYER limited sessions of 15 minutes are possible, then you have to reload the patch)
If you're unsure whether this is right for you, here's a short example of what's included in Cuckoo Clay Bird
