Vietnamese Jaw Harp
Dan Moi - Vietnamese Jaw Harp - [v1.0] Pocket instrument from Vietnam. A small brass membrane hit with a finger and using mouth as a resonator. This is the first iteration focusing on percussive playing. An array of expressive, short, long, simple and more complex sounds packed into two KONTAKT patches:
* "JawHarp - ALL" - all sounds spread across 72 keys of your MIDI controller
* "JawHarp - VELOMAP" - an experimental approach where sequential samples are stacked as velocity layers. A practical alternative to Round Robin: organic fun when playing live yet easy to lock with a fixed velocity in your DAW.
Both patches comes with 'humaniser' and 'arpeggiator' scripts so it might be as fun as playing the real damn thing!
All recorded in 24/44. Developed in Kontakt 5.5.1 so you'll need this version or above to use this library. Library will only load in 'demo' mode in the free Kontakt Player.
Unpacked size: 44MB Enjoy!
PS: Don't be afraid of tuning it three octaves down for some interesting effects ;)
Recently I bought a JawHarp KontaktLibrary from another much more well known company. And then I stumbled upon this little ditty. It's fun to play, has lots of different articulations right at your hands on sevreal keys plus a useful arpeggiator. This is really a gem! I like it more than the other one.
