  1. 80s EP FM EXS & SFZ

    deep sampled iconic DX7 EP

This is the 140 sample version of the 80s EP FM. 4 velocity layers, 4 keys per octave and release samples. There are two more of them coming: 80s EP Bright and Warm. The Kontakt versions are already on this site. This instrument works in Logic 7.2 and up, GarageBand 2 and up, Halion 2 and up and anything that loads sfz instruments, like Alchemy Player and Sforzando. There's also a Reaktor map. The manual/eula is in the preview zip, check before you buy. The 80s EPs are virtual versions of 4 iconic 80s EP sounds from the Yamaha DX7 Mark II, each counting 1144 24bit/48kHz samples for the Pro versions for Kontakt. 88 keys sampled in 12 velocity layers. No software emulation beats the expressiveness and bite of the real thing. I audited thousands of EP presets and customized 32 of my favourites on my TX802/DX7II and then sampled 4 like all the virtual Wurlitzers and Rhodes out there: extremely detailed and programmed to behave exactly like the original. For producing a track where you need the sound in the background the 140 sample versions will suffice, for realistic sound, playing and solo's, upgrade to the Pro version. More info in the manual.Read more…

  2. 80s EP Classic EXS & SFZ

    Deep sampled iconic DX EP

140 sample version of the 80s EP Classic. 4 velocity layers, 4 keys per octave and release samples. There are three more of them coming: 80s EP Bright, FM and Warm. If you're a Kontakt 3 or higher user, get the Kontakt ones instead! They're already on this site. "Classic" is a customized Rhodes preset from the DX1. The DX1 goes for around ten thousand dollar on the second hand market and its factory library is far superior to the DX7. In the demo you'll hear the same midi file rendered by EXS24, Alchemy Player and Sforzando. There's also a map for Reaktor and channel settings for GarageBand so you can use it natively in GarageBand. Alchemy Player is free and sounds as good as EXS24. The manual/eula is in the preview zip, check before you buy. The Warm is a very unique preset. The attack is a little like a lithophone - a stone marimba - and the decay is dark, especially when playing soft, with more natural tremolo then the other three. GUI is filled with buttons (automatable switches for Kontakt 4/5) for triggering all sorts of presets. They all work in the free preview. The manual/eula is in the preview zip, check before you buy.
