  6. Pastoral Tones

Pastoral Tones is a sample based instrument inspired by the sound aesthetic of Boards Of Canada. The plugin includes 62 preset sound to choose from featuring analog synthesizers, flutes, brasses, strings, electric pianos, sound FX, basses and atmospheres. The acoustic instrument sounds have been sampled from public domain films produced between the 1950s and the 1970s. To thicken the sound, various sound modules have been added, including a sub oscillator, vinyl and film grain noise layers as well as field recordings sampled from public domain old films. All the preset sounds are one sample stretched over 5 octaves of the keyboard. Multi-samples have been avoided to increase loading speed, keep the plugin light on RAM and to obtain that old sampler vibe. As a result, Pastoral Tones runs well on older computer. Furthermore, recordings of public domain films were preferred in order to get the most authentic retro sound possible, the kind of sounds you would hear on a Boards Of Canada album. 14. Thales Model I

    VSTi/AU Vintage Computer Sound Module

Sound unique with Thales Model I, the only plugin that recreates the sound of early software synthesizers of the sixties. You heard it right, all the way through the sixties Bell's laboratories developed software synthesizers that were capable of producing an early form of sound synthesis: raw sawtooths, unstable organ like tones, almost clean sine waves and abstract soundscapes of white noise. Thales Model I features the tones generated by early sixties computer. The sounds have been sourced in public domain films, which means that they are not clean: tape noises and background hisses are part of the sound of this very special rompler. Because of this, Thales Model I's sound is reminiscent of the Mellotron and other tape based keyboards of the sixties. Here's the list of all the tones available in Thales Model I : 01-WINDORGAN 02-CHURCHORGAN 03-REZORGAN 04-OLDHORN 05-SQUAREWAVE 06-SPECTRALWAVE 07-DAFTWAVE 08-SINEORGAN 09-LIGHTWAVE 10-THEREMIN 11-REZWAVE 12-OLDSINE 13-PHONERING 14-PHONEORGAN 15-ATMOPAD 16-DUSTSQUARE 17-SMALLSINE 18-SINEWAVE 19-GHOSTORGAN 20-DEADORGAN 21-TELEPHONE 22-DUSTHORN 23-TWISTEDSQUARE 24-DEADLANDSCAPE 25-SINEPLUCK 26-METALBIRDS 27-UFOCPU The download includes the Windows VST plugin (32bit and 64bit) as well as the Mac Universal VST and AU plugins.
