Whirly Tubes

A great kit, for Kontakt 2.4+, built from the sound of corrugated plastic tubes being spun round in the air. Each tube plays between 3 and 5 notes, depending how quickly it is spun. So I took a whole bunch of them, trimmed them to size, so that I got a scale in quarter tones, and then sampled as many notes as I could get. There are two types of Kontakt instrument. The first maps each tube to one key, and pushing the mod-wheel cycles through the notes that were obtained from that tube. The other instrument lays out all the notes so that they can be used more like a bizarre organ. The samples are perfectly looped, to give an endless sustain. Stick a load of reverb on them, and play around in quarter tones, and these tubes will give you the most haunting, yet beautiful, sound you have heard. 53 samples - 16bit/44kHz Requires full retail version of Kontakt 2.4 or above
